The Reform UK leader Claims Educators of ‘Indoctrinating Children’ on Racial Topics

Nigel Farage has asserted that teachers would go on strike within weeks a Reform UK election victory, accusing them of “harming young minds” by instructing children that black pupils are victims and Caucasian students are perpetrators.

At a gathering for a private US Christian college, Farage outlined his perspective on British schools, claiming that the “radical left-wing” had “taken over schooling”.

“I expect a teachers’ strike very quickly after securing a victory,” Farage commented during a Q&A session.

“They are corrupting young minds. They instruct children to be ashamed of their country. They inform little Johnny, who’s eight, who is black that he is oppressed and a white child of the same age that he is a perpetrator. They are dividing us, not uniting us. They are feeding this harmful mindset.”

Reacting to Farage’s claims, Daniel Kebede rejected the notion that the schools were under Marxist influence as “absurd”. Kebede noted that any strikes must relate to teachers’ terms and conditions, and doubted whether the party would target these right after taking office.

“Farage has built his public life on coded rhetoric and currently, similar to other figures, he is targeting educators and their unions for a conflict,” Kebede stated.

“This is highly reckless. Neither I nor our union – advocate such divisive theories as he claims … If he were to lead the government he would sell out our public services, including education … and the outcome would be catastrophic for students and learning.”

The party, which is leading the polls by about 10 points, has provided limited specifics on a proposed education policy and seems not to have appointed an education spokesperson.

Nonetheless, Farage’s remarks suggested the party would overhaul the educational framework. Farage declared: “We face an enormous task with education – absolutely herculean. And, it won’t happen quickly; it requires years, years to turn this around.”

He stated that gen Z was more open to analytical thought, but older youth were “completely lost”.

Honoring Charlie Kirk, he commented: “All I want education to do to teach critical thinking – to instruct people that multiple perspectives exist and you make up your own mind as opposed to what’s happening now where views are labeled good or bad. It’s a massive job in both Britain and America.”

Reform has previously clashed with a major educators’ organization, after Kebede called the party “extremist and prejudiced” and dismissed Farage as “a cheap imitation”.

Farage has accused the union head with being “an avowed radical” … someone who is absolutely determined that our children should be poisoned through education, their thinking tainted about everything to do with this country” and has argued that the organization seeks to brainwash youth opposed to his party.

Roughly a million individuals are employed in education in the UK, with educators comprising half and the others teaching assistants and support staff. The leading teachers’ organization has about 450,000 members.

Countrywide walkouts over teacher pay and conditions in recent years caused widespread disruption in educational institutions and extensive missed instruction for students.

At the US event, the Reform leader also pledged to help spread the digital courses of the Christian college in the UK. He stated organizations like it were “part of the fightback”, adding that: “I mean this. I will help attract vast numbers of youth to these educational programs. I make that commitment now and I’ll do that.”

The institution, a small private Christian college, provides complimentary classes. According to its online description: “A scientific, literary, theological, political, and moral education is vital for well-being and to perpetuate the blessings of civil and religious liberty. The college furnishes these beautiful courses for no charge to every interested learner.”
