Liverpool's Star Issues Apology to Squad, Says Curtis Jones
The Liverpool midfielder has shared that Mohamed Salah said sorry to the team following the uproar from his televised remarks.

“He speaks for himself and he can say his own stuff,” Jones revealed. “He apologised to us and was like: ‘Should anyone feel slighted, I apologise.’”
Arne Slot has refused to comment publicly on whether he received a personal apology from the veteran striker.

He emphasized that the team's response stayed normal. “Nothing about him changed, he was smiling and we all treated him normally,” he continued.
Jones also implied that a teammate fighting for a place is less of an issue. “It's clear there are certain ways you can handle situations,” he said. “However, if a player is content to just be on the bench, then I think that’s concerning.”
Positive Results
Their results have been impressive in the period after the initial controversy. The player is convinced the forward's comments were not intended to destabilise the squad.
“If passion has boiled over, the source has been from a good place,” Jones concluded. “We’re past that now and we’re gelling well as a team, playing well and starting to win games.”
