JuJutsu Kaisen: Execution isn't exactly an brand-new feature. Instead, the newest cinematic release from the Jujutsu Kaisen fantasy saga serves as a collection of the anime's second season stitched together with the initial episodes of its upcoming season, which launches the Culling Games arc from the original manga. This makes Execution, which recently received a new trailer, the earliest way to view the start of the upcoming season ahead of its premiere in early 2026. The movie premieres in Japanese theaters on November 7, and in North American regions on December 5.

The Culling Games Plot

In the Culling Games storyline, Special Grade sorcerer Yuta Okkotsu finally joins the anime series and is assigned by jujutsu higher-ups to take down his peer Yuji Itadori. Their highly anticipated battle occurs for the first time on the cinema screen, and if the animation team at Mappa have something as special as the two-part Thunderclap episodes waiting in the wings for viewers this holiday season, JuJutsu Kaisen: Execution may turn out to be the gift that fans have anticipated.

The Thunderclap Debate

"The Thunderclap sequence" from the second season is frequently praised as a top-tier scene in the history of anime, in spite of the significant debate in 2023 when the installments originally aired.
